Easter Break

I completed classes and assignments on Mar.24 and I've since been floating around Ireland playing Ultimate, visiting friends, and playing tourist. Exams start May 2nd so it's time to bear down and get feisty with the books. Forgive me if you don't hear from me in a while. eez

UCC Ultimate pre-game warmup, consisting of huddling up against a tree. That looks like a disc flying by but it's actually just a water drop.

Tadhg (Irish for Timothy) on the pull

Post-game meal: Beef Stroganoff (Irish style) served on a bed of fries ..or "chips" as the Irish like to call them.

Three Pint Challenge: 3 pints of beer / disc.
Two per team. Suck your lungs out with a straw.
I hear it can be done in <20sec.Posted by Picasa

..loading up the 3rd pint.

Irish Ulti parties always have a "theme" ..and this time it was Alice in Wonderland. So here we have Alice and the Queen of Hearts.

Spotted this outside a hotel in Dublin. 25euro is the equivalent of 35cdn. Tea anyone?

A lot of Irish buildings (pubs, restaurants, schools, etc.) are painted bright strange colours. Here's the backside of Dublin castle.

so that's why i haven't heard from you in a few weeks. i had afternoon tea at the Royal York for my birthday. $25Cdn. But it's really yummy. You get scones and little pastries and fruit and cute rolled up cucumber sandwiches and your own pot of fancy tea! We were so full we pretty much skipped dinner.
