Paris & Paddy

Here are a few pics from the week I spent in Paris - a nice short break from school and a chance to catch up with the folks. We checked out most of the touristy things incl the Eiffel, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, the WWII deportation memorial (a must see), M d'Orsey, Louvre (currently re-reading daVinci Code now), Versaille, and of course we ate lots. If there's one thing I must blog about ..it's the CREPES.

They've got vendors on every street corner making all sorts of crepes and I was buying one per day. On day 3 though, I realized I had to up my consumption rate in order to try all the different kinds before I left, so I started eating two - sometimes three - per day. They ranged from sweet nutella & banana crepes to sumptuous cheese and mushroom crepes, made fresh and served hot. Simply marvellous.

umm... okay, pictures on hold for now. Blogger is giving me problems.

My first ST. PATTY'S DAY in Ireland was a bit of a bust. Cold , rainy, windy, and clouded by a looming exam. It's quite an event though with festivities starting Friday morning and going on all through the weekend. It was finally warm and sunny today but as I said ..impending exam has got me tied down. Studying medicine can have strange effects on ya, and it's really not meant for everybody.

Today a good friend of mine in 2nd yr med told me he's dropping out. He's a brilliant guy, but just didn't have his heart set on it. He's also one of the few Christian brothers I've really connected with here in Cork. I'm gonna need a new wingman. God speed Chris.

Uxorious

Didn't know there is actually a term for this..

uxorious \uk-SOR-ee-us; ug-ZOR-\, adjective:
Excessively fond of or submissive to a wife.
