A Day Around Toronto

Sunday 22 July 2007
07:00 --
Wake up to an intense sunshine as it burns off the dew on our tent. We'd camped at McRae Point on the northern edge of Lake Simcoe - just a one nighter as it is my cousins' first time camping (pictures). Fry up some eggs for breaky, pack up camp, and book it back to town in time to catch some sound Sunday School teaching by Mrs. R. Choy.
12:30 --
Gobble up lunch, deal with some car troubles, and head downtown for an afternoon at Matthew House.
16:00 --
Caught up in the excitement of U-20 FIFA finals w/ MH residents.
21:00 --
Get off work and reconnect with some Toronto classics:
  • Ball hockey at a local outdoor city rink w/ random guys
  • Cruising home on the Gardiner catching the sights and lights of downtown TO, the CN Tower, ACC, and SkyDome (that pic above is a shot of the Gardiner not by me though)
  • Burning up the twisty and underrated DVP (it's a real thrill to drive if there's the right amount of traffic to force you to weave but not to slow you down)
  • While cranking out 102.1 Spirit of the Edge (formerly known as Retro Nite)
Home in 25min and off to bed.
